Club members Jim Layne and Jayne Britton, owners of Saco Valley Sports Center in Fryeburg, ME, celebrated the Sports Center’s 40th anniversary by hosting a fundraiser to help in Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio.
Bowlers were asked to donate in return for free bowling and refreshments, and a total of $585 was collected.
In another reason to celebrate, the event was held on October 19, which happened to be Jim Layne’s 90th birthday. Happy Birthday, Jim!
